Do I need to be Ukrainian to become a member?
Not at all! While we're proud of our Ukrainian heritage and offer bilingual Ukrainian-English services, Selfreliance welcomes everyone. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in our service area can join.
What makes Selfreliance different from other credit unions?
We combine the personalized service of a community credit union with 75 years of financial expertise. Our bilingual services, competitive rates, and deep commitment to the communities we serve set us apart. We're not trying to be the biggest—we're focused on being the best for our members.
Will I have access to online and mobile banking?
Absolutely! You'll have full access to our online banking platform and mobile app with features like mobile check deposit, free credit score reports, Zelle, bill pay, account transfers, and more.
How do I become a member?
It's easy! All you need to open your account is a valid government-issued photo ID, your Social Security Number or Tax ID Number, your mailing address, and $10: $5 to open your Savings account and $5 for the Association Membership fee. We're excited to welcome you to our Minnetonka branch and help you open your account.
Can I refinance my mortgage, auto or truck loan through Selfreliance?
Yes! We offer competitive refinancing rates for mortgages, auto and truck loans. Many members save hundreds per month by refinancing with us. Join our list and we can discuss pre-qualification even before we open.
